The Pupil Premium was introduced by the Government in April 2011.
It enables schools to secure maximum impact in raising attainment for pupils vulnerable to underachievement. The premium is additional funding which provides additional support for:
- pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years (known as ‘Ever 6’)
- children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months and
- children of service personnel.
Although schools have the freedom to decide how to use this money, they are held accountable for the impact the funding has on those pupils triggering the premium.
Our premium for 2016-2017 was £6,240. The documents below set out our strategy for Pupil Premium and how the funding is being spent. As the school grows the impact of these additional measures will be reviewed and reported and will inform our action plan for future spending.
